Laura Fawcett, DPT
Integrated Sports Medicine Physical Therapy of Lansdowne
I graduated from the University of Virginia in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Medicine and Kinesiology. I then attended the University of Pittsburgh where I graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2009. I have continued to pursue educational courses to expand my skills and am currently certified in Functional Dry Needling since 2014 and Graston provider since 2017.
I have focused my career in outpatient orthopedic, sports and athletic injuries rehab all here at Integrated Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy. I particularly enjoy working with runners of all ages and distances from 5 k’s to ultras and truly enjoy helping others get back to their normal. I am a big supporter and proponent of cross training, strength training, yoga and functional mobility for the entire body to remain injury free and healthy. I focus not just on the site of injury but on everything connected and contributing to it.
In my spare time I love to run, cycle, strength train and hike. I enjoy reading books to further my knowledge of strength training, cross training, and running techniques/mechanics and general fitness. I am an avid runner and my favorite distance is the half marathon, but I have run distances anywhere between 5 k’s and marathons and I have recently begun to dabble in the sport of triathlon.
