Lizzy Javier, PT
I have been a Physical Therapist since 1975 when I graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelors of Sciences in Physical Therapy. Since, I have worked in a multiple different settings including acute care, home health and Outpatient clinics in multiple states. I started my career in Puerto Rico and have since practiced physical therapy in California, Texas, and Washington until now where I can proudly call Virginia my home, since 1996.
For the last 15 years, I have worked for private practice, orthopedic based physical therapy and sports medicine clinics. Over that time, I have experience treating patients of all ages with a variety of orthopedic diagnosis and sports injuries.
In all of my experience as a PT I have developed a passion for industrial rehab, where I not only treat the injured worker/patient but also design injury prevention programs for companies and train the employers and employees how to prevent injuries on the job.
During my free time, I volunteer at Briggs Animal Adoption Center (BAAC), a no-kill animal shelter in West Virginia. I also volunteer with Loudoun County Government in Leesburg as a certified medical interpreter. I LOVE to paint pretty pictures! The end.
