Graduating from Ithaca College in 1998 with a Bachelor’s in Clinical Science and my Masters of Science in Physical Therapy in 1999, I have had more than 10 years of practice experience mainly in the orthopedic setting.

Initially working in a Work Hardening and Work Conditioning setting, I soon decided this wasn’t for me.  Now I find myself in a private practice clinic that has an excellent team mentality and is more fun than I have ever had at work.  We have been together as a team for several years.  This has really given us time to know and appreciate each other’s skills as therapists and I often go to them to discuss ideas, which makes for a well balanced treatment plan.

I am licensed in both the state of Georgia and Virginia and keep up to date with continuing education requirements for both.  I treat patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, but orthopedic conditions are what I see most and have the most experience with especially sports injuries, chronic pain cases, and post-operative cases such as total joint replacements, rotator cuff repairs, arthroscopic debridements, spinal fusions, bunionectomies, and fracture repairs. I have worked with patients of many ages including the very young to elderly (over 95 years old.)

My belief is that our bodies are meant to be in balance and maintain an ideal posture alignment at each joint to function at our highest and most effective levels.  And of course, the reason most patients come to us, is to feel better.  So a program including core stabilization, strengthening, flexibility, balance, and education is essential to overall success.  Getting to know patients and seeing them succeed in their goals is a very satisfying experience and I look forward to that opportunity with each new person.
